    Customer transactions mobile screen

How can I change the mobile screen for customer transactions to only show sales receipts and payments?  Right now it shows invoices, payments, and sales receipts and then totals all of them which confuses my sales guy.  He only wants to see customer payments and sales receipts totaled.

This is how it looks now.

As you can see, there were only 2 payments totaling 7342 but it added the invoice too which is incorrect.  (If the pasted image doesn't come through, there are 3 transactions for this customer showing:

    Payment 4842.00

    Sales Receipt 2500.00

    Invoice 4842.00

Total  12184.00 (total payments is only 7342.00 though) It is totaling all transactions even though some are payments and some are invoices.

Would you please explain to me how to customize this screen to only show sales receipts and payments?

    Hi lzimmerle,

Please go to Customize > Users and ensure that the box under Active is checked for the MethodSupport user at the bottom of the screen. Once you've done that, send me an email by clicking the Contact button in the top-right corner of this post and let me know your Company Account Name as well as the Customer you've noticed this issue with. I'll take a look and post back here with some insight.

    Re: Customer transactions mobile screen

I checked the active box and our company name is ****.  Go into the mobile sign in and look up the customer

Smith, Kevin & Donna 10/14    and then go to the transactions tab.  You will see on the grid that it lists a payment, a sales receipt and an invoice.  It shows a total of all 3 of them.  I would like it to only total the sales receipt and payment so that the "total" will show a total of customer payments (payments and sales receipts)
    Thank you for your help.

    Answer

    Hi lzimmerle,

The easiest way to accomplish this would be to create a Filter View on Step 3 of 9 of the Transaction grid's Grid Wizard.

Call the new Filter View something appropriate (I chose "Sales"), and make it the default view if you like. Copy the logic from the pre-existing Default view (it has one line), and add in another filter for TxnType is not equal to "Invoice". That should do the trick, just do the same for any other transactions you want to filter out. :)

Would you explain how to create a Filter View with the Transaction Grid's wizard you are talking about? And what do you mean by copy the logic?  I don't know how to get to that.

    Thank you

    Re: Customer transactions mobile screen

    Hi lzimmerle,

In the screen designer for your Mobile_Customers(#) screen, click Edit... on the Transactions grid and click Next until "Step 3 of 9". Here you will see the "Default" View and its settings, as per below:

From here, take a look at the settings for the existing filter in the list by clicking EditYou'll want to add this same filter to a new Filter View, so take note of how this is set up. Click on New / Edit... and name your new view, choosing whether or not to set it as the Default View for the grid. You can then add the IsDetailLine filter from the previous view, before adding a second filter to filter out the Invoices.

You might want to head over to our Help Center's Customization section for general guidelines on customizing MethodIf you're interested in larger customization projects, booking some time with a member of our Professional Services team might be a worthwhile investment for you.

    Hope this helps.
