Valid Credit Card Number Error

    Valid Credit Card Number Error

    HI Method team,

    I am getting feedback from customers that through our contacts portal on the edit_profile screen the credit card field will not accept credit card numbers. A screen error indicates "please enter a valid credit card number"

      I have checked the actions regarding the allowed number of digits and everything appears fine. I'm not sure where else to look. Can you direct me to other actions or check points that I can look in to in order to solve the error?

    HI Justin,

    I had a member of your team build it. I think based off the "Edit Profile or billing info" thought.  The project was to create a place where customers could enroll in our autopay program by entering the credit card info and checking the check box to authorize automatic credit card charges. It has worked for 18 months until just in the last week it failed.

    Judging by your response its sounds like that may not have been the right process?

    what do you think?

    Justin,

    I spoke with a tech support rep and determined the problem is that somehow the action on my submit button that is supossed to check if there are enough digits for a valid card has been deleted.

    My question then is; what action needs to be added to the button to check that the right amount of digits has been entered for a valid card number? ie. no less than 14 or no more than 16 etc.

    Thanks for the reply Justin. However I was able to solve the issue. I was missing a FALSE action in a "type in" field within a conditional warning. Which was causing an error message to pop up. Since I made the correction the credit card field now recognizes digits and is working properly.
