This is possible, but the previous restrictions still apply. They are as follows:
- There will be no physical link between the estimate and invoice records. You can create your own link in Method, but QuickBooks will treat these as individual transactions.
- You will have to manually close the estimate in QuickBooks since the link stated above will not exist. Due to this, deleting the invoice will not re-open the estimate.
If you’re interested in performing this customization, have a look at the actions used for converting an estimate to a sales order and the actions used for converting a sales order to an invoice. The actions needed will be very similar.
