    Hide Markup Information

I noticed that once my sales people save a estimate or sales order it shows Cost, %, Markup, Markup %. If I go into the customization of the screen and remove these columns, will it just not show them or will it affect my items/data?

    Hey,

It will affect what the Amount for your LineItems will be. The Amount column is a calculated field that uses those columns to display the final amount.

Please take a look at THIS thread for more information.

After looking at that thread and a few others, I am still confused as to what the best practice is to hide these fields. In this thread https://www.method.me/cs/forums/t/7040.aspx  the guy says to remove them from the grid. But you and others have said removing them will change the amounts. What should I do so it can be hidden from my sales people?

Instead of removing the fields from the Grid, go to Advanced options on Step 2 of 9 for those fields and check

    Hidden when screen first loads?

That should hide the fields on screen

Try that and let me know if that works for you.
