Method Community

For some reason when we create a Sales Order/Acknowledgement we are limted to 11 characters for the Sales Order Number. I've tried editing Screens and Tables/Fields and I can't seem to figure out where it is set to 11 Characters. Thanks for any help!

Hey Seth,

RefNumber is a QuickBooks field and syncs over. We cannot modify the character restriction it holds as it's set strictly by QuickBooks.

Thanks for your response! I suppose I would have driven myself crazy trying to solve it in Method  I'll see what I can do in QuickBooks. Thanks again!

Also wanted to add, another solution that may work for you:

Add a custom Method field to the SalesOrder table. This will work fine if you don't need to reference this number in QuickBooks.

Note if you did want to take this route it would require other minor changes including, updating the SalesOrder print template with the custom Method field, and also adding the field to other related screens.
