    METHOD NEW - how to send email

    In Method Classic, when doing an activity, I can send an email to the contact. However, in Method:NEW there is no option there. Also, when I click on the highlighted link for the customer's email, it opens up the computer's email client (I'm working on an iMac so its opening up MAIL). 

    Please advise.

    Hi There,

    The Contacts email in method will show up as a Mailto: link. This means that clicking the link will open up your default email program with the "To" field pre filled with this infomration.

    To Be Able to send an Activity notification in the Activity App, you will need to navigate to the Activity App preferences (Found by Navigating to the Dashboard, and clicking the Right Chevron in the Activity App Snapshot). Here, you will need to select a Default Activity Notification Template and Activity Follow-up Email Notification Template

    I updated as you had stated - in the company preferences and it still did not email as it should or even provide an option to email from the activity panel. 


    When I went to update the personal preferences, it gave me this error message:


    The Click event for Save failed to complete.

    Message: *An error occurred while inserting a record into the table spiderSecurity of database ADACI7. Invalid column name 'intMarkedForDeletion'.

    Are you still recieving this error message? This can often be rectified after logging out/logging in. If you are still seeing this error, please email me your Method Company account name and Ill have a support rep reach out as soon as possible. My Email is in my signature.
