Email Error

    Email Error

    Hello Method!

    We have been emailing out of method for months now and its been working great! However I received an error today:

    "The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: ; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM"

    Do you know what causes this?

    Hi jsautel,

    These Types of error messages we see most commonly with Office365 Email integrations - Office365 unfortunately doesnt make it easy to set up mail relays.

    Have any of the credentials/settings changed within your O365 environment? It might be worth just navigating to your Default Email Preferences (under Customize > My Account > Default Email Preferences)  and re-entering your credentials and seeing if that helps here.

    Thanks for the reply Ben!

    I have followed these steps, but we are still receiving the email error. Nothing has changed in our Office 365 environment. The only emails that seem to be affected are Reminder Activity Emails. Our Web Forms are working and other various emails in our method account. Anything else you could think of that would be affecting this function?
