I have had numerous complaints from my laptop users that they cannot read the names in the select bar (left hand side of my screen) of the customer list. Those of us with huge monitors are ok, but it is impossible to read the names on the select bar if you have a laptop. I have tried to adjust every setting. Clearly I am missing something. Please have a look at this. I am sure there is a simple solution. Please see the image below.

When editing the screen, Click the advanced button in the upper left hand corner.

In the middle of the window, there is a dropdown that says "Show left side as" where you can set the % of the screen the lefthand grid should take up. Increasing that should solve the problem.

When you edit the screen if you click on Advanced located next to the screen name at the top left you can change the size of the existing customers section by changing Left Side Section Show As.

Also why not try the New Method CRM?

What size screen are you using and what is the resolution?

Another possible solution is to make the grid a screen of its on and have the select go to a tab link with the customers info like the new Method CRM does.

You can also make the grid go along the top of the screen and not have it show up on the left.

I tried that. It doesn't change the size. I just have this skinny bar floating on top. Please tell me how to make this wider and readable.

I found the magic box named "auto grow" which resizes the boxes so the text is readable. To tell you the truth, both the Customer list and the advanced search boxes have been nearly illegible due to being squished. I found this box by accident while editing the Grid Wizard (I was in the wrong grid wizard). As you can see, the check box for this preference is in a very strange place. I recommend moving it to a more prominent position on this screen. I wish I knew about this 2 years ago!
