Sync Engine does not start automatically

    Sync Engine does not start automatically

    What can I do when the sync engine does not automatically start when I start QB on my PC?
    Other symptoms include:
    -  The Method sync engine "M" logo does not always appear in my PC tray at the bottom right corner.
    -  When I try to start Method sync engine from my desktop icon, nothing happens.  The sync box does not appear anywhere.
        But sometimes when I close QB, a message says the sync engine is running, but its no where in sight.

    Rebooting my computer usually solves this problem, and the Method engine appears. But is there a better solution to get Method sync engine started and appearing than rebooting?   

    Is there a command from within QB that I can run to start the engine?

    Dave-

    You can launch Method manually by going to:

    Start > Programs > Method > Method Integration Engine for Use with QuickBooks.

    Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Method engine?
