CRM customer portal screens.

    CRM customer portal screens.

    Greetings,

    When i send a estimates or invoice or payments, the customer gets a email then presses on the mini url link and they are taken to a screen where they enter their email address.  From there they can see their invoices, payments, estimates, and cases.  

    When I send a case to the customer, the customer gets a different screen. They have to enter their password and email address.  

    So my questions, is this suppose to happen?  

    Can this change so when i send a case, all they have to do is enter a email address?  

    Time for a pepsi, that uaualy gets me going. lol

    John-

    Let me look into this further. I took a quick look at the actions generating this it should only be requesting the email address to login for the contact. Maybe it has to do with the work around I suggested for multiple emails.

    Michael,

    It looked like i had the Edit Cases and Case screen customized.  So I made it so your default screens are now working.  Two things happend,

    1. I am getting a email that says, email sent failure alert.  

    2. in that sent failure alert email, the mini url takes me to the correct screen, The screen where i only have to enter the customer email address. 

    almost there!

    Michael,

    Everything is working if I am using the November version.  I take it you are doing a upgrade to the system so I will hold off on doing any emails intell 12-09

    John-

    Thanks for the forwarding me the email.

    It may be the port set for sending email.

    Go To Customize > My Account and click on Default Email Preferences change the port to be 587
