    Customization Costs

     

    Hello Consultant Team:

    We are a new method crm customer (base edition) that is migrating a lot of data from our previous crm, Zoho. In Zoho we have customized all screens from leads to invoices to reflect our needs our needs in regards to tracking where our business is coming from (website, trade shows, print etc...).

    As a result we need to customize method to allow for the same tracking abilities and also allow for reporting on this data. 

    Wayne Barbaza has referred me to this resource to get a feel for how much method customization consultants would charge for our needs.

    As mentioned above we need to:

    1. Add 4-5 custom fields to leads, customer and opportunities screens
    2. A report that tells us what business came from what lead source
    3. Customized estimate, sales order and invoice forms to reflect different warranty terms for different products.
    Please let me know if you can work with this level of detail to provide a rough cost estimate.

    Have you taken a look at http://www.methodintegration.com/custom-software-development-for-quickbooks-pricing.aspx?

    It gives a break down of pricing for our customization packages for both screen and report customization which may help give you a rough idea of how much the changes you are looking for will cost.

    To get a more accurate quote we normally setup a paid scoping session, to discuss the in's and out's of what you are trying to do.

    Hello Michael:

    I will do my best to gather the data from there. Will we need to convert to the pro version to use your customization services?

    Also, I wonder if we need to customize the lead screen, does the work done on the lead screen also cover other instances where leads are edited, such as the "new lead" screen or does that count as editing two screens?

    Alex-

    We require a user to have Method CRM Pro when getting a customization package through us.

    In the example of leads, changes would most likely need to be made on the 'Edit Lead' screen and 'New Lead' screen, which does count as 2 screens and each of the fields added to either of the screens count as a field towards the package.
