    When it comes to QuickBooks versions, a common question being asked is "What version you need to work with Method?"  I’ve answered this question below.

    If you’re a UK, Australian or Canadian QuickBooks user, you’ll need 2008 or higher (with all of the latest updates installed).  These versions of QuickBooks use a different database structure and SDK vs. the US QuickBooks versions.  As a result, we made the decision to support only the latest version of QuickBooks. 

    If you’re using US QuickBooks, you’ll need 2004 Pro or higher.  Preferably, you’re using the latest version of QuickBooks, especially if you want to tap into all of the features available.  However, if you choose not to use the latest version, make sure you have all the latest QuickBooks updates installed on your computer.

    For all versions of QuickBooks, you will need to use QuickBooks Pro or higher.  If you're using Simple Start, you'll need to upgrade to at least the Pro version of QuickBooks.
