    First...Thanks ...

    I have a client that is interested in using Method for their salespeople across the country.

    They are in need of a commission report right now.  I thought if I could create this report within Method...this might make the sale.

    The commissions are based on Inventory Item (Cost, Sales Price from Invoice and Spiff)  The spiff is different for each item/salesperson.

    Example:

    Widget 1

    Cost  $2.00 - Pulled from Inventory Item

    Sales Price $3.00 Pulled from Invoice

    Spiff for Salesperson A is $1.00 - Currently Pulled manually from Excel (This salespersons price list)

    Spiff for Salesperson B is $1.50 - Currently Pulled from manually Excel (This salespersons price list)

    They are using QuickBooks Enterprise 11

    Any suggestions....

    Hi Borlandje,

    Here are some recommendations. First create a table for the spiff, and then import your spiff data into Method. Once that is done, you can easily preform all the calculations you wish.

    As for the report part, here are 2 ideas on top of my head.

    1) You can create a grid. Grid data are also exportable to various file formats (RTF/Excel/PDF).

    2) You can create a report using the Report Designer. This way, you can have a beautiful PDF report with just a click. To learn about how to use the Report Designer, check this blog article for videos.
