I would like to create (or have created) a method CRM application that will evaluate: Customer A has not ordered for X days. Send him an email with product suggestion, discount code etc. Customer B ordered product M, send him a thank you and recommend that he consider product N, with discount code. Method will trigger based on customers orders, (what they bought) and send a message (based on logic of time etc), and link them to the ecommerce engine to order more stuff.
This can get quite sophisticated with lots of products and customers, but the client creates the marketing / messaging content, identifies the associations, and trigger points.
This may also be used for ... "your invoice is due in X days, and we have not received payment yet" etc. To automate collections.
Has anyone created this type of application for a client yet ? I may be interested in discussing leveraging any customization that has been done before .
