Make Job Location Address Clickable in Email Body

    Hello,

On the add/edit Work Order screen, we have a text field that contains the job location and other comments. We send an email containing this information.

The address(job location) in the email shows up as text. Is there a way we can convert it so that it can be recognized as an address on browsers or email apps?

    Thank you!

    Hi Issam,

What exactly should be clickable? A physical street address?

Depending on what you need, there are some options available like hyperlinking or making an email clickable.  This just depends on what you actually want to show when the address is clicked.

    Hi Adam,

I want to make the street address clickable. I'm looking to create a google maps link.

I tried hyperlinking without any luck.

    Thank you.

    Hi Issam,

What about the hyperlink didn't work?  The link itself or the URL?  If its the URL, try using the short URL option in Google Maps. The long link in the address bar could be causing issues since there are a number of special characters.

I put this in the Work Order Instructions and it was clickable for me on the printed work order.

    Hi Adam,

Thank you so much for your help.

I'm using the character function to create the link. I start with [ <a href=http://maps.google.com/maps?q=" ] then append the address and the rest of the link.

When I send an email containing the result of this character merge, it shows up as text. Do you see what I mean?

    Thank you : )
