"I hope this is a simple problem, we are new to MethodCRM and we want to do the following:

When creating a new activity and then choosing a contact, we would like to have customer's account number appear under the "Lead / Customer / Vendor / Employee Details area.

Hi Tennic,

You can acheive this by adding a linked field to the Activity table. This would be AccountNumber field in the Entity table. There already exists a relationship between Activity and Entity, so adding this linked field is possible.

Next, please make a copy of the CRM_NewActivity screen if you haven't done so already, so that you can edit it.

The "Lead / Customer / Vendor / Employee Details (edit...)" area you mention is under the Contact Info section. Finally, drag the new linked field onto this section

Thank you for helping me out on this, I must still be missing something, I tried this and I get the words "Account Number" to appear now in the new activity screen, however it does not seem to be pulling the link to the actual account number.  The only place I can actually see the actual account number is from the payment and job info tab under  CRM_editcustomer.

I've reproduced this on my end, looks like the field doesn't get refreshed. To resolve this, you can add an action to the Contact dropdown, on the Text Change event, to update the textbox on screen. Add the action at the bottom of the existing actions.
