    Method CRM Pro vs Method CRM customization

    I am still in my trial phase of Method CRM so I have the Pro version, but my company is leaning towards going with the more basic Method CRM. I am having a hard time understanding the difference when it comes to customization. I understand that in the basic version, I can't create NEW tables and drop-down lists. However, there are a number of customizable features that might be categorized as basic, I'm just not sure. For example, will I be able to keep these features if I switch to basic:

    1. Tags

    2. Using the Ellipses to add-on to drop-down menus, such as adding to the Lead Source list in Opportunities using the ellipses to add a new lead source.

    3. Creating my own Email Templates

    Please advise. I know there are many customization tutorials out there, but I don't know if they apply only to Method CRM Pro or if they apply to the basic version as well.

    Hi Melissa,

    The main difference between the two versions is that with the basic CRM you cannot create any custom tables or install any of the additional apps found under Customize > My Account. You can still customize screens that already exist, create new screens based off pre-existing tables and configure the fields for those tables. All of the things you mentioned rely on pre-existing tables, so you should be good to go with the basic version of the CRM.

    1. Tags will work
    2. Adding to pre-existing dropdowns will work because the table for that dropdown already exists, creating your own dropdown will not be possible
    3. Email templates will work
