    Problems with Customizing

    First let me start off by saying how excited our company is about this program. The freedom to do whatever works best for us is a huge plus! One thing we did notice, and maybe we just haven't figured it out yet, when you are creating and customizing, there is no way to preview. Now like I said, we could be wrong. If we are, please let us know how we can preview. If there is not a way to preview, then maybe one could be added. Just a sugestion. But other then that we are just enjoying and exploring! Thanx!

    That's awesome you are getting into Method now and starting to design your own screens!

    In terms of previewing, from the 'Screens' tab link, under 'Customize', you can click the 'View' link per screen.  The 'View' link allows you to preview that particular screen.  Now if you are actually editing the screen, the only way to see what it is going to look like is by clicking on "Save & Close" and then click on 'View'.

    Ok I am now starting to take another look at Method now that the qxpress and inventory apps are available.  However it is very easy to get overwhelmed!  I am a semi-tech savy person, however when I begin to think about databases and relationships between databases - the shut down begins.  While I love the concept you have created - it feels a bit out of reach for me.  What help can you provide me (or resources) that might give me an understanding of how to tie all this together?  Is a training session an option from your company - if so what would cost be?  If you could offer a training session then I could have an idea ready and your 'tech' could then walk me through the entire process - I think if I had a little one on one this would all make much more sense.

    As a side note - we use the multi-day scheduling feature in Qxpress on a daily basis and I do not see that in method.  Is that comming or is that something else that I need to build?

    Hi Jeremy,

    We do have a few resources available to you that will help you use Method more effectively.  You can access some written documentation (with more on the way) from the Self-Service & Documentation section of our site. We’ve also posted some very informative blogs containing videos and you can continue to search and use this forum.   If this is not enough and you would like a ‘one-on-one’ training session then you can contact your Business Systems Consultant and discuss what you are looking to achieve and schedule time with them by the hour.

    What do you mean by multi-day scheduling?  If you are referring to recurring events, that is currently available in Method. If you like you can check this out under Field Services when creating Work Orders.

     Hi Jeremy,

    I looked into the multi-day scheduling feature you were referring to in QXpress.  In Qxpress you have 3 options for scheduling: One Time, Recurring and Project.  In Method, you have 2 categories: One Time and Recurring - a type of Recurring is Project. I hope that answers your question. Just a side note, if you have QXpress related questions you can post them on QXpress's forum.
