• Re: New to the Process

Hello Stuart, I would not recommend changing the DataExtDef table. I don't know what it is for, but it may be there for processes unseen and you could, in essence, break your table and incur problems. - Greg

  • Re: Customers/Leads

Hello sjk, There is no way of converting a Customer to a Lead. Once they are customers, they are in QuickBooks. You will have to delete the customer in QuickBooks and Method and re-input them as Leads. The easiest way is to export the customers who are to be leads and then ...

  • Re: New to the Process

Thanks fran for posting. You have given some good advice and guidance. I'm still working on being fluent in the Report Designer. Just to re-iterate, Report Designer does need the fields to be on the table that the report is pointing to, to get the information. There is a 'Retrieve Value from Table' action that can use ...

Hello Stuart, There are videos on the Report Designer. They are now located in our Help Centre and have been converted to Youtube videos. You can find them here. I believe what you are looking for is not in the Report Designer. It is actually a table relationship ...

  • Re: How can I make a lead without choosing lead type or status

Hello ntorres2014, It sounds like you want to customize the screen and take out some of the fields you do not need. You can do this by copying the proper Lead screen (with selecting 'replacing links to an existing screen') so you can edit it. You will do this in the Customize tabs -> Screens ...

  • Re: LinkToSalesOrder

Hello sbradley, I had a couple of comments on the relationship table. First, the field LinktoSalesOrder is a relationship between InvoiceLine and SalesOrderLine. The options have been limited. Creating another relationship between SalesOrderLine and InvoiceLine may cause trouble, but you can try it. The ...

  • Re: LinkToSalesOrder

Hello sbradley, As the other forum post states, it's not a matter of Method developers creating the link between an Invoice and Sales Order. It is a question if QuickBooks SDK allows Method to use the link. It looks like the SDK does not allow third-party software developers to use the link. Currently, I do not ...

  • Re: LinkToSalesOrder

Hello sbradley, I found an older post discussing the issue here. In summary, it may be a QuickBooks SDK limitation and you can do some configuration to get what you need in another way. I have looked into this to see if I could do it. First, the LinktoSalesOrder links to ...

  • Re: Parents and Children as Leads

Hello Meghan, I have thought about this question. I believe you are on the right track. The customer would be the one who is paying, either the parent or the adult student. The contacts would be the attendees for the camp. The issue is if the primary contact is a camp goer or not. I would ...

  • Re: Email estimate to different contact

Hello SalesMan, There are techniques that you can try that I found in another forum post here. In summary, the idea is to create a contact for the company that holds the emails of all the contacts that receive the estimate. For the email field you have each email address separated by a ';' mark. ...
