Hi MikeB,
In order to be able to attach a document to a specific activity you would have needed to add an Attachment field to the Activity table. Which is why you're seeing all that "junk" data. That's actually how the actual document is stored in the table.
So to get around this, do not include the attachment field when ...

When you export the Activity Table, uncheck the boxes for the fields that are coming out with the junk data.

Did you create a textbox only on the screen? In order to store the information in the table, you'll need to actually create a field in the table. You can then drag that field onto the screenusing the screen designer.
