Field Services sending to mobile phone

    Field Services sending to mobile phone

    Ok,  signed up for field services, entered the techs phone numbers and email addresses but when I enter a call on their calendar they don't get the call unless they log into the website.  Is there a way to set this up to send the calls to a mobile phone otherwise it's pretty useless for the techs.

    Dbrunette-

    Method has a reminder feature built in that will send a reminder 15 minutes before an activity(Call) is due it doesn't automatically send them an email when a call is created, though you could through customization have Method send an email to their phone anytime a new Call is created.

    Are they logging into the mobile website when they login?

    Ok, I went to the tabs screen to check the reminder box, but I get the following error messege:  Alert We were unable to resolve your request. Either the screen you are trying to access does not exist, or there was a problem with your request.

    Do the techs have to log into a mobile website?  The messege can't be sent to the mobile phone via SMS?  Our techs have simple phones for calls and texting they can't use them to access the internet.

    Watch the following webinar found HERE it goes over how reminders work in Method.

    You can send email text messages to their phones for work orders through customization maybe adding a Send Email button to work orders?

    In regards to the error you are getting can you enable MethodSupport on your account ( Customize > Users ) and email me your Method account name so I can take a look.

    When I check the box for reminders as shown in the webinar I get the previous error messege.  The box dose not expand as shown in the webinar.  I have enabled Method Support I would appreciate any help you can provide me.

    The account name is autoautowash.

    I was able to duplicate this on your account and have created a ticket for this. I will update this forum post once the issue is resolved or if I have additional information.
