Method Community

This pertains to another post but is a different subject. So I decided to post it here. 

Mark and I fixed the method portal (error 2020) but now customers are complaining that they can no longer see the "HTTPS" in the address bar when they pay online. I believe this is because we recreated the credit card portals w/out the "Security" feature in Quickbooks. Can we fix this problem? I would like customers to know that things are secure and thus it would be nice to have them be able to pay via an HTTPS portal.

rbsom - portals, by default are https, for the exact reason the users are complaining about.

When you give them a link to sign into the portal, is that link https or http?

Also, if you edit the portal under Customize > Portals, what option do you have set for Step 6?

This has to do with the way you are presenting the portal.  Currently,  you are presenting the portal as a iframe within a lightbox. For the customers to see this as https you'll need to use https for your site.

The quickest way to solve this is to have the portal open in a new window rather than a lightbox.
