I just used your <img> tag in my own email template and it worked as well. Not sure why it's not working for you, are you able to see images from any stock email templates? Try using the November version of Method; Go to the Method sign-in page and click the Switch to the November version link on the bottom of the screen. If it's still not working for your then enable your MethodSupport user (Customize > Users > click the Active checkbox next to the MethodSupport user), then send me an email with your Method Company Account name (not user name).
