is there a way to upload docs directly to smart vault and have them appear in method? or does everything i want in method need to go through method?

i tried uploading a doc directly to SV and it isn't showing up in method. . .

Yes you can upload documents into SmartVault then have them appear in Method. After you've setup your SmartVault account and integrated it with your Method Account, login to your SmartVault page through their website (or their desktop application) and upload your documents to the Method Documents folder that has been created.

Ok, I've done that and the doc isn't showing in Method.  Docs I uploaded thorugh Method show in SV but not vice versa. Is there something else I need to do?

If I upload into subfolders inside the Method Documents folder will they still show in Method?

Finally, can I link more than 2Method accounts to the same Smart Vault account?

Hi Shaun,

My mistake that was a file I had previously uploaded into SmartVault through Method, not the other way around. So no you cannot upload a document into SV and have it show up in Method, it would have to be uploaded to SmartVault through Method CRM. Additionally, if you are using QuickBooks Online, you won't be able to see those documents in QuickBooks since SmartVault hasn't released their QBO integration yet. For now you would need to upload into Method for those documents to appear in QBO.

You cannot link more than one Method user per SmartVault account, and if you could it would be kind of meaningless for the free member since you only get 25MB of storage on SV.

When I upload a doc to smartvault through method (and link it o an opportunity) it will show up in the Method Documents folder.  From there can I move the doc around into different folder in Smart Vault with out messing up it's linkage in Method?  I've tested this with a couple of docs and the links in Method don't appear to have been affected.

Yes after you've uploaded a document through Method to SmartVault and move it around to different folders it will still be linked correctly in Method. The folders within your Company Account name in SmartVault are there for organizational purposes. You can have some documents in one folder and other documents in another folder, e.g. Training Documents, HR Documents, etc, and they'll still be viewable in Method.
