    website slow or not connecting

    I'm getting a lot of complaints about how slow the website is or unable to connect, just a spinning wheel... it is very intermittent and when it happens it usually affects all users.  I notice it more in the early afternoon PST but it also occurs in the late morning also.  I have mostly written it off as just a busy internet but it's getting worse and worse and all the other websites I test at the time of complaint work just fine so I don't believe it's my connection.  I've also tested with different browsers with no luck, when it works it works just fine but when it doesn't work then nothing seems to help until it starts working again.  Please advise.

    I just tried it and it took 20 seconds for the sign in page to load, then another 2 minutes of spinning to log in and it ended with an error: null then went ahead and logged me in anyway.  I have NO other connection issues to any other sites at this time.

    Hi Greg,

    Have you tried using the February version? From the Method login page, click on Switch to the February version at the bottom of the page and then try logging in. It contains some speed improvements and should be a bit faster, especially at peak-time.

    Justin, I tried that with a few people and it didn't seem to make much difference and everything started working fine again.  Now, at 14:20 PST, no one can connect to the Method Sign in page.  I've tried from 3 different browsers and no luck just spinning.  Something is going on with your servers or something is going on between us and your servers.  Again all other sites work fine from my network right now.  Also just ran a speed test and we're getting 11Mbps down and 18Mbps up.  And my connection to you just timed out with "The server at www.methodintegration.com is taking too long to respon." error.

    Hi Wavetec,

    We're currently in the process of working to improve monitoring and infrastructure, which should help to alleviate any regularly experienced speed issues that you may be having.

    As for the issue you experienced at 14:20 PST yesterday, were you able to eventually log in? How long did you experience the service outage for? That instance appears to be an isolated incident and we're currently looking into the cause of it, so any further details you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Justin, it lasted about 10 - 15 min.  Then it finally opened the page and it worked.  It continues to run more slowly than it did in the past years but it's usable.  

    This sort of thing is happening more and more often. It was once in a while, then once every few weeks, then once a week, and now it may happen 2 - 3 times a week.  It times people out who are working in Method (screen freezes and then eventually goes blank), sometimes you can get to the login page and enter your info and log in but it just spins for 5 min and then times out, sometimes you can't even get to the login page and then it times out.  It seems to mostly happen between 1 - 3pm PST but sometimes its at 10am PST.


    I hope this helps.  We run our entire ERP/CRM thru Method, so when it's down or slow we can't work.

    We've received word from our development team that they've applied a fix which should alleviate the speed issues you were experiencing. Please let us know if they do continue to happen, and provide any associated information for us to forward along to them.
