    Documents in New Tabs

    Hello,

I created a new tab. I also have created several new buttons. I would like these buttons to open documents when I click on them but I don’t want it to be linked to the documents tab. I’m having a really hard time doing this. Could I please get some help? There will be six buttons and six documents. All are in Excel format except for one is in Word so formatting shouldn’t be an issue. Thank you!

    Hi Allison,

Which action are you using to point to the screen? Are you using a Go To Tablink action, or perhaps an Open Screen In Popup action? Is there a tablink under your New Tab for the Document screen(s) you would like to use?

    Let me know.

I’ve tried both ways and am not having luck with either. I would like to do it as a popup screen though.

    Hi Allison,

Which screen are you trying to navigate to? What happens when you attempt to open it in a pop-up?

I copied the documents tab but now it takes me back to documents so I want to cut off the link between the two tabs.

    Answer

    Hi Allison,

It sounds like you didn't modify your Go To Tablink action to point to the copied screen under your new tab.

If you want to show the screen in a pop-up, you'll want to remove your Go To Tablink actions and add a Close Screen In Popup action instead.

    Hope this helps.
