Here's my answer. Firstly, yes Method can handle that much amount of information without any issues. But in terms of Importing I would highly recommend to start importing in a small batches in order to make sure importing is smooth. Here are few tips that I would like to share with you.

I tried to reproduce it on my account by going to ListBuilder -> Click on Fill List with Contacts -> Click on Insert Contacts it takes me to the Step 2:Edit your List and it is working fine without any error. Is there's something different you are trying?

Here's my answer. Right now we do not have any email notification system which notifies you when sync is stopped. But you can always check in Method under Quickbooks tab> synchronize to see the ststus of your last sync.
