A minor update to the engine has been done that can have a big impact on performance:
- If there have been many records deleted in QuickBooks since the last sync (such as when an archive and condense is done) the records get deleted in Method too. The problem is when there are many, many, many records deleted. If the process times-out or dies for any reason, it had to start all over again. To make matters worse, it would not give you any kind of status update, so it would appear as if the engine was frozen. Version 1.0.188 now gives a visual update every 20 deletes, and if it times-out it will pick up where it left off. Note, though, that if it dies half way, and then the sync engine is closed and reopened, it will still need to pick up from the beginning. Once the process is complete it will have no work to do next time the sync runs regardless of whether it is closed or kept open.
To get the update either:
or
- Wait for a few days. After 3 days of opening and closing the Method Integration Engine, the engine will eventually check for an update and install it.
I hope that helps,
Paul
